EPC in primary school in Vojnic – Croatia

Facility and Initial Situation


The building consists of three internally connected wings and has two floors as well as a sports hall. It is located in the municipality of Vojnic, Karlovac County (Croatia)

Initial Situation

The school was built in 1971 and was reconstructed in 2011/2012 (window replacement). Heating system is based on heating oil boiler which will be replaced with biomass boiler. The reconstruction of the exterior walls and the floor of the attic with the installation of adequate insulation is needed due to rather bad conditions. It is planned to replace the current T8 fluorescent lighting with T5 fluorescent lighting and incandescent light bulbs by compact fluorescent bulbs.
